BTL #250 - Sestercentennial - 6/26/17

This week on BTL, Wealthcare is still anybody is talking about, and we're here to give you a running list of who, to date, is for it, against it, undecided, and especially evil. Plus, some thoughts on the GOP and guns, the Democrats and women, single-payer's worst enemies, and our "new" policies on Cuba. And finally, Jesus Christ, will we ever get a guilty verdict in the police the shooting of an innocent black man (or woman... or child...)?!

BTL #194 - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Saturday - 3/28/16

This week on BTL, we begin with a yearly tradition: Brent telling Lila the story of Easter only to have Lila forget the story by the time the podcast is posted.  Will she ever learn?  Tune in to find out.  Then we have some new superlative primary days of our own invention: #LooneyTuesday and #SupercalifragilisticexpialidociousSaturday.  Plus, we've got the latest on Obama's trip to Cuba, the (too) many terrorist attacks that went down this week week, and a rundown of 13 Democratic presidential candidates you may not be aware of and probably should try not to learn more about!

BTL #192 - Return of the Goldwater Gal - 3/14/16

This week on BTL, MSNBC is shocked, shocked, shocked when the Michigan primary results are exactly what their own exit polls predicted.  Plus, this is the week we reached peak Trump: he gave us the best hour of television in American history not to be confused with the best reminder possible that he's a dangerous lunatic that must be stopped.  And Hillary Clinton might be channeling her Goldwater Gal past a little too clearly these days.  And of course we have election results, a look to this week's primaries, and polling galore!

Meet the Candidates #5 - Ted Cruz: Revolutionary Evil

Meet the Candidates #5 - Ted Cruz: Revolutionary Evil

In this week’s Meet the Candidates, we’ll take a look at the suddenly-surging Ted Cruz, the *other* Cuban  in the GOP presidential race.  Cruz is the GOP establishment’s biggest fear since he's rising in the polls and willing to throw anybody under the bus in order to keep that momentum going, his own party included.  Luckily, another equal-opportunity bus-thrower and birther/racism fanatic Donald Trump might not let voters forget that Mr. Cruz, unlike Obama, was actually born abroad.  Will his Canadian-ness take him out of the running?  Will his seething hatred of governance do the trick instead?  Only time will tell!
